Hoping for a better future

TITLE: Departure (or Hoping) (Figures in a vessel)
Many years ago this prototype vessel was carved out of a chunk of red cedar.

The inventor’s plan was that two full length propellers/screws would elevate the hull to allow the vessel, full of people, objects, maybe memory, etc. to move efficiently over water.
In 2025 I created the figures.

Some wear lichen hats that provide symbiotic communication links and navigation aids.
In the centre -- a dormant tree is holding a blue egg that can represent “hope, new beginnings, and potential”.
One figure shows only a hand. It is attached to the dreamer asleep in the bottom of the boat.
The figure in the bow touches the light that creates the clean energy to propel all of it onward.
It represents perpetual motion and hoping for a better future.
There are some leaks in turbulent weather.
