The AI Future
Found objects, a light-powered calculator,
a glass block, ... crystal-clear but with no known purpose.
and a brass figure from an old religion.
All on a defunct circuit board.
Next to a primitive figure, with a weapon to hunt the next meal
AI might give you the recipe but not the ingredients.

It is just starting ... AI ... artificial intelligence
Polite online voices answering any question, so quickly you don't need to think, to reason, to look it up for yourself.
Essay writer for any student; image-maker for any need.
Who needs a teacher, a designer, a secretary? .... already people are losing their jobs.
When AI can design a robot which can make robots, we're finished.
When workers have lost their incomes ....
In the past we called it a recession, printed more money, which had less value, borrowed ....
We all, not just the economists, will have to rethink our assumptions.
What has real value when skills are no longer needed?
Hiding in a little box underneath the circuitry is a gold-coloured little metal box
Holding the only true value ... a child's set of baby teeth.
Memories of a simpler time.
