The AI Future
Dale Copeland, 2025
found materials: old circuit board, light-operated calculator, old brass religious object
straw figure with weapon, (a desperate worker, now jobless and impoverished)
a clear glass block rising from the circuitry
... crystal-clear but with no known purpose.
33 x 24 x 14cm
When workers have lost their incomes ....
In the past we called it a recession, printed more money, which had less value, borrowed ....
We all, not just the economists, will have to rethink our assumptions.
What has real value when skills are no longer needed?
Hiding in a little box underneath the circuitry is a gold-coloured little metal box
Holding the only true value ... a child's set of baby teeth.
Memories of a simpler time.
