PORTRAIT III A portrait cannot objectively portray everything about a person because it is just a layer of paint. If the subject is unknown to us, that is all we have to “know” that person. Similarly, Portrait III uses a border of words for physical characteristics of a person depicted by that layer of paint. Without context, everything else is the Unknown. |
