| Living in Powell River, B.C., Canada since 2010. Born in 1937 in Rangoon, Burma, taught English Literature at the University of Alberta, Canada, 1963-93, specializing in English Romanticism. In early childhood I was home-taught by my mother, who encouraged me to make drawings. Drawing pictures feels like being God creating the world. My renegade and heretical American Baptist mother enjoyed this pleasure when she was a child and wanted to pass it on to me to enjoy as a child, and as an adult. |
