This is the culmination of the first project I contributed to: "Comfort Blanket,"
organized by Liza Lou, the California-based bead artist.
Each stitched panel reflects something about a day in my life during lockdown --
a thought, a movie, music I listened to, an experience I had, etc.
It took about five months to complete.
The panels are embroidered onto a tablecloth that belonged to my mother.

I've made art from my early days, and have worked in almost every medium - including painting and assemblage.

I consider my assemblage work to be my most personal and meaningful.
It's especially dear to me because it led to my finding Dale on the other side of the planet!

Over the past year, however, I've become consumed with narrative embroidery, which has included appliqué, beading and stumpwork.

I've been spending most of the pandemic lockdown on two Instagram sewing projects.
