Lonesome Soul Mate

My heart is heavy
for the loss I feel.
But my faith is strong
to carry me on.
My soul remembers
our love
and shared strength.

Each day that passes
shows me the truth
that my memories
are happy
in the days in our youth.

I will carry on
knowing I have the strength
given to me to survive
and know He continues to have
a path for me to follow.

Sharon Eley
Growing up in the country allowed me to run free and develop an appreciation for nature and organic shapes.
It also put me in touch with a higher being and an appreciation for all the gifts nature has to offer.
I enjoy creating texture in the process of making my art and painted papers.
Collage is my favorite medium as it allows me to move shapes around to develop a balanced whole of color, texture, and shapes.
Often, happy accidents happen when experimenting or playing with new paints or texture techniques.
Poems frequently accompany my artwork.

Our identical twins Sharon and Shirley
still going strong, both still making art.
The twins will be turning 74 in January.

Sharon Eley lives in Chillicothe, Ohio, USA.
