Assemblage of found objects
Dale Copeland, 2017
Dale Copeland lives at Puniho, in Taranaki, New Zealand
I made this to be a donation box for our exhibition in Paris, using a battered old doll.
She stood on a clear perspex column which showed the coins she'd colleted, on a wooden base.
Her banner says 'perhaps a small coin for the poor artists?
She'd collected about 30 euros when someone stole her!
We searched nearby rubbish bins, hoping they'd kept the money but left the doll. I was fond of her.
More of her work can be seen on her site at dalecopeland.co.nz
and in the Showcase section of this Virtual Tart website.
