Someone said to me that when you live with an artist something is bound to rub off. Maybe that's what happened when I asked my husband, (artist Graham Kirk), to recommend brushes and paints. At 56 years old I began to paint.

Everything that I have done, so far, is made-up; one imagined thing leads to another, and another.

I have no art history or qualification. It's more a matter of picking up a brush and falling in love with all of those beautiful colours.

I was born in 1952 - so that makes me a very late starter, but I'm so glad that I did. This episode in my life is very gratifying. So far (touch wood), there's been no lack of ideas.

SHOWS
KIRK WORK Kina Gallery, New Plymouth. October 2011. (Joint show with Graham Kirk).

These original paintings are not for sale. I see them as a means to produce prints of a limited edition of 25 (which are signed under my maiden name 'West').
Archival ink-jet is used on A4 cotton-rag paper.

They are priced at $90 each (includes postage)

A phone call is easiest for ordering. Ph. 06 752 4479
